“Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. I may get killed with my own gun, but he’s gonna have to beat me to death with it, cause it’s gonna be empty.” — Clint Smith (Thunder Ranch owner)
At Ares Tactical Solutions, we take pride in our stellar firearms training programs. We offer a variety of different skill sets in various firearms based weapons systems ranging from carbine to shotgun to handgun. Each disciple has introductory “first” classes that everyone must take before moving to the other “advanced” classes which will give the student the opportunity to polish and add new skills to their arsenal. However don’t think that, like most “advanced” classes, that we are just gonna have you doing the same drills only faster! The sole purpose of those intro classes is to provide the base of skills so we can keep moving forward without having to repeat the same old stuff.
You WILL leave a changed, confident person when completing these classes!
One thing you will not see is the same old “stand in front of your paper target and shoot” types of classes. We pride ourselves on offering a DYNAMIC program to fit the stress inducing world that you WILL have to use your weapon to defend yourself in. Our drills are designed to simulate and stimulate the stress one may encounter in a real life scenario and how to handle it efficiently.
Some of the things learned in these classes include:
- Fundamentals of Precision Shooting For Gunfighting
- Terminal Ballistics
- Target Aquisition
- Laws and Legalities
- Gear Selection (holsters, mag pouches, slings, etc)
- Malfunction Clearing
- Reloads (Tactical, Admin, Speed)
- Partner Drills (walking w/ family or friends, etc)
- Room Clearing
- Cover vs Concealment
- Home Defense
- Zeroing (how far should I zero my weapon for combat effective shooting)
- Selecting the Tool for the Job
- Various Shooting Positions(squat, kneeling, prone, urban prone, supine, etc)
- Shooting Around Obstacles
- Carjacked! How to Survive a Deadly Encounter
- Much More!
Be sure to check back for updates on class schedules, prices and deals on different programs coming up in the near future! There will be many different programs for people to attend so keep an eye out for one that best suits your needs.
“The Wolf hunts for his prey (Sheep) each day. He checks out his prey carefully before attacking. But the advantage must go to the “sheepdog” that carries a concealed weapon and only gives the appearence of being prey! The Wolf may be more experienced in matters of criminal behavior but the element of surprise is powerful. So the Sheepdog, if attacked must react with vigor and lack of hesitation to prevail.”
